About
My Background
Once the decision to become a therapist was made, I pursued this career path with a fiery passion. Earning my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Washington Bothell in 2013, I double majored in Community Psychology and American Studies. In 2016, I attained my Master’s Degree in Couple and Family Therapy at Antioch University Seattle, where I immediately returned and completed their yearlong Play Therapy Program. Afterwards, I worked in a mental health agency where services were provided in the office, at a couple rural school districts, and within the community. While there, I received additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In one of the school districts I worked in, I helped create and co- facilitate an LGBTQIA+ teen support group. My transition to providing home-based services as a subcontractor for Working Choices Inc. began after working at the agency for a couple of years. It was through this experience that I became certified in Functional Family Therapy. As of 2020 I also provide services in my small private practice within the Green Lake neighborhood of Seattle. Outside of work, I’m a mother of two beautiful cats and my interests include binging tv shows & movies, listening to podcasts, playing video games, exercising.
My Approach
Getting to know you and understanding your world is crucial to the work that we will do together. My preferred approach to therapy is to collaboratively create treatment plans and service goals with my clients. Therapy is a space to nurture growth, so your voice matters. I strive to provide culturally relevant and aware care, which is accomplished by listening empathically, researching, and attending training courses.
